End of Summer

Yesterday we went with some good family friends to Great Country Farms out by Middleburg, Virginia. There were a lot of fun activities for the kids including slides and mazes, farm animals, mini golf and a rock sluice. We took a wagon ride out to the fields and the kids were able to pick peaches, tomatoes and edemame (aka soybeans!).
Right across the street is the Bluemont Winery so we went up the BIG hill for lunch and the kids munched on the sandwiches we brought while we had bread and cheese and tasted one of the best Virginia wines we've ever had. The kids ran up and down the beautiful vines until they were ready to drop. Well, they weren't as tired as we thought they would be since they insisted on going back to the farm for a "quick" 18 holes of mini golf. It was so fun!
