For once, this weekend, we didn't have 10 birthday parties, two soccer games, and a million other things to do. Yesterday morning we looked over the newspaper for fun activities and decided to check out Hotwire for one night deals. Sure enough, we found an awesome, too good to be true deal for a suite on the oceanfront in Ocean City, MD. It was a beautiful day in the 60's, so even though we knew we wouldn't be laying out on the beach we took them up on the offer.
We had a super fun time, and although there were a lot of things that were closed for the off season we had fun on the beach and found a great restaurant on the harbor side of West OC that had the locals lined up after beautiful days out on their boats. Dan, of course, also found a fabulous donut place that was right up his alley. It was a great get away!

Love the spontaneous trip. I wonder when we'll do stuff like that again...mabye when we're diaper- and sippy-free?! Nah, can't wait that long...
