Superbowl Sunday

We saw the first half of the superbowl before the kid's bedtime last night and as usual, Julia can make a party out of anything!  She made a scoreboard and decorated the basement, and even had a special menu for her play food kitchen to serve superbowl snacks.  Ryan whipped up Julia's "cheese" hat out of printer paper, and had a "terrible towel" to cheer for the Steelers himself.  I truly did not, an may not even still, believe there is anything as silly as a "terrible towel" for a professional football teams motivation, but you can't make this stuff up.

And, you may have seen on our facebook posts this weekend, we had a very naughty squirrel that chewed his way into our attic and caused us all to be very grumpy by Saturday morning.  After calling around and finding out that no amount of money can get a contractor in Northern Virginia to climb up on our wet and freezing roof in the rain, Dan read on the internet that a strobe light might scare the squirrels away.  So, off to Party Depot we went and sure enough, the strobe light in the attic kept our attic quiet and vacant the rest of the weekend.
Our contractor is up there right now fixing the hole, but I'm sure our neighbors have a lot of questions about the strobe lights all night this weekend at the Murray's.

What? There was a football game on yesterday? Huh? :) I hope there aren't any more squirrels in your future, but plenty of strobe light parties!
