Julia has been taking a cooking class at Accotink Academy that is after school on Thursday. It is really fun for her and they make simple things that they bring home each week. This week it was snickerdoodles, and they came already packaged up in foil after class with the recipe that they used. After dinner last night Ryan, Julia, and Dan broke it open and ate some for dessert. Ryan said right away that they were very good, Julia, but a little, well, smooshy. Dan chased his bite down with a big slug of his drink and looked a little uncomfortable while Julia chomped away. After a few more minutes of nibbling, Ryan asked Julia, "Julia, did you cook these yet?" and she replied, "No, you cook them AFTER you eat them. NO, wait, you cook them BEFORE you eat them." I had never gotten the important message that the cookies still needed to be cooked! The oven was still warm from dinner so we threw them in, and in 10 minutes had wonderful snickerdoodles (albeit, the dough sat on the counter the whole afternoon, yikes!) for dessert.

How funny!! I laughed out loud. Their comments and antics are better than a comic strip. So dear. And with your blog you can keep them over the years.
Love it!
