Family Engineering Day at the Building Museum

Well we can never complain "there's nothing to do" living in the DC area. Ryan and Dan had a blast going to the Family Engineering Day at the Building Museum on Saturday. Here's a picture of Ryan building a Lego structure that will be tested to withstand a tsunami wave tank sponsored by the National Science Foundation. He had so much fun. He also made a solar oven that can actually cook a pizza (yet to be tested!), and watched Nate Bell from PBS's Design Squad rappel from the ceiling of the Museum, which is about 120 feet.

Even more fun, Ryan then had a burger in Dan's office across the street and watched Fantasia on the computer. He was totally energized by the whole adventure, and wished he could stay there all day.
