We couldn't resist breaking out the totally cute cookie kit that my friend Meaghan Marchand has on her internet shop http://www.chiccookiekits.com/ . We bought it for next month, but with the snow day, we were looking for something crafty to do. I wouldn't recommend trying to create professional quality decorated cookies with a three and five year old, but it was sure fun. They loved rolling out the dough, watching them cook, and icing them while munching on the twizzler decorations that Meaghan included in the kit. And, I still have TONS of supplies to make more (maybe after the kids go to bed if I want them to look a little more like the ones in the booklet!).
